You can claim your profile and manage the profile created by matterius on your own at any time, at no cost. This includes the ability to modify, add to, and delete data. Simply send an email to service - at - matterius.com. Additionally, your rights under the EU-GDPR apply.

1. Data Controller and Contact Information

2. Types of Data and Sources

We have collected information about your professional activity as a lawyer from public sources (e.g., rankings, publications, law firm website, professional social media platforms) and based on this, we have created a publicly accessible profile page with descriptions of matters.

This includes the following types of data:

  • Name, position/role, and professional contact details
  • Information about your law firm
  • Description and focus areas of your legal activity and expertise
  • Information on your career (professional stations, memberships, publications and lectures, awards, recommendations)
  • Client experiences (e.g., client, matter description)

3. Purpose of Processing, Legal Basis, and Duration of Storage

We use the information to create and provide an editorial profile on matterius.

The legal basis is the legitimate interest of us, you, and the public in being able to find business lawyers based on their expertise and client experience more easily, and in increasing transparency in the legal services market, Art. 6 (1) (f) GDPR.

We will delete your data if it becomes outdated, in the event of a legitimate request for deletion, or if you claim your profile and delete content yourself.

4. Claim Your Profile

You can take over the profile created by matterius at any time and manage it yourself as part of a free basic membership. This includes modifying, adding, and deleting data. To do this, send a message from your law firm's email address to service - at - matterius.com.

5. Your GDPR Rights

Under the GDPR, you have the right to access, correction, deletion, restriction of processing, data portability, to lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority, and to withdraw your consent. You also have the right to object to direct marketing and, in the case of reasons arising from your particular situation, to object to data processing based on Art. 6 (1) (f) GDPR.
